Ben Williams
Ben Williams joined Geeks2U in early 2008, bringing over ten years' professional experience to our Mandurah team.

Ben's educational background is extensive and includes such certifications as Microsoft Certified Professional for Windows NT Essentials, Windows 2000/XP Workstation and Windows 2000/2003 Server. He has received training in Internet Web Development and Lotus Notes 5.5/ 6.0/ 6.5.

Professionally, Ben started as a Service and Support Technician, providing support to schools, government agencies and defense units. He also built and updated personal computers, servers and other computer equipment.

Later, Ben became a Network Administrator, creating and maintaining user accounts to access the company's domain. In addition, he rebuilt servers to migrate to a new network for remote access users, provide general maintenance and user creations on a Lotus Notes Domino Server and installed PCs and terminals, as well as networks and communications equipment.

Throughout the following years, Ben provided a wide array of skills to various businesses. He provided support and server maintenance on over fifteen servers, and technical guidance to a service desk team. He built three new servers, including re-imaging, roll out and migrating user data and details to a new infrastructure. On several occasions, he upgraded and updated all new computer equipment.

Just before joining Geeks2U, Ben held the position of Senior Systems Administrator. Here, he designed, implemented, installed and supported servers, workstations, networks and any other network style devices for small to medium-sized businesses. In addition, he updated the local Intranet and Internet, created databases for clients' newly purchased computing equipment, and trained users on newly developed and installed software, to name a few of his responsibilities.
