Chris Thomas Chris Thomas joined Geeks2U's Coffs Harbour region in early 2008, bringing over 20 years of experience as a field service technician to the team.
Chris' educational and professional background is extensive. After leaving high school, he went to college for a fitting/machining/welding course and became a welder's assistant. He changed positions, becoming a maintenance fitter, where he repaired and maintained all the equipment and automation processes of the company.
In 1983, Chris became owner/director and Service Manager of a business, fulfilling any necessary duties while also taking yearly technical training for mechanical, electronic, firmware and software disassembly, and diagnostics and repair for a number of companies. For a period of thirteen years, he was the technical advisor to service technicians, a field service technician to major clients, customer relations manager for the customers' computer service issues, onsite and phone technical support, and a personal onsite manager for major clients.
For the last ten years before joining Geeks2U, Chris held positions as a Service Manager, and then General Manager, of an office supplies company. As Service Manager, he designed and implemented a service management system, including daily service call management for each technician, parts ordering and warranty procedures and establishment of client service contracts - to name a few. As General Manager, he provided product knowledge training and technical assistance to the service department, handled customer complaints and backup technical assistance, and developed new and existing client / customer relations.
With several years of customer service experience, as well as onsite computer repair, Chris is well-equipped to eliminate computer pain for our Coffs Harbour customers.
