Maurice Curtis
Part of Geeks2U's Hobart division, Maurice Curtis joined us in early 2008. He has a strong educational background, with an Electronics Trade Certification and an IT Infrastructure Library Certification, and is a Microsoft Certified Professional. In addition, Maurice holds certifications in Project Management and Business Analysis. His Oracle education covers Database fundamentals, forms, reports and programming portlets, to name a few.

Maurice's professional experience began over ten years ago as a Computer Technician, repairing, maintaining and servicing computer systems. Later he became a Software Developer, providing Cobol programming, then added IT Support Officer to his title. To date, he has developed Visual Basic applications, client databases and Web interfaces, as well as software for business and government departments, and provided many other IT services.

His last position held covered many areas of the IT profession as an IT Contractor, Software Developer, Programmer and Computer Consultant for small and medium-sized businesses. In this position he offered specialized training in computer use, MS Office and proprietary software, consultation on computer hardware and IT systems, and report writing with various programs. He provided computer hardware and software support, as well as network support, among others.

Maurice's is well-versed in software development languages, including C#, ASP.Net and JavaScript. Additionally, he has performed developing with Visual Studio, Iron Speed Developer and MS Access, incorporating VBA.

His list of abilities is both extensive and impressive, and his track record in customer relations and training matches his IT skills. Used to talking to customers on a regular basis, Maurice can easily pass on technical information without confusion.
