Edson Galindo recently joined Geeks2U as an IT Consultant for our Newcastle division, bringing sixteen years of professional experience and education to our team.

His educational background spans over ten years, beginning with an Associate Diploma of Commercial Data Processing and followed by an Associate Diploma of Microcomputer Systems. Later, Edson gained IV Certification in Training and Assessment, Help Desk Support and Networking.

Edson's IT experience began as a Proprietor and IT consultant, providing a wide range of sales and support to a diverse customer base. He moved on to a position as a Computer Trainer, where he trained staff on a new computer environment. He also assisted with the installation of a Novell Network and performed a variety of other services, including inception of an IT infrastructure.

In a position as Computer Sales Manager, Edson consulted with customers, clients and the general public about their IT needs, providing recommendations on an as-needed basis. His services also included assembly and installation of desktop systems, troubleshooting and problem resolution for both computer hardware and software products.

Shortly before joining Geeks2U, Edson held a position as Technical Manager and Consultant, providing technical support - including onsite support - for Hewlett Packard. He also undertook Amcor PC Audits, managed and coordinated rollouts from inception to installation, and gave ongoing support and computer maintenance services, to name a few.

With an extensive background in customer relations, well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and experience in troubleshooting and problem solving, Edson is a strong, committed addition to our Newcastle team.
