David Todd
Part of our Southern Downs team, David Todd is known for his optimism and easy-going personality. Ten years' experience, combined with an extensive education, makes him an accomplished IT professional.
His educational background began with Computer Aided Drafting, learning AutoCAD. He continued with a Bachelor in Technology Education, which prepared him for a teaching career in industrial technology/design and graphics/engineering technology. From there, David became a Microsoft Certified Professional for NT Servers, as well as earning certifications in Citrix Administration, Microsoft Desktop Support and A+.
David's professional background compliments his education, starting with a position as a teacher. He quickly rose through the rank and file of the IT profession; from technical demonstrator, teaching Architectural, Interior and Industrial Design students, he became a systems administrator and manager of IT and Telecommunications.
From there, David held the position of desktop administrator, providing telephone support, onsite computer repair and PC remote support for over eight-hundred staff. His last position held before joining the Geeks2U team was Senior Desktop Support Officer, providing technical support for desktop and laptop computers, as well as peripheral equipment such as tape drives, remote discs and printers.
With a quiet speaking tone, out-going personality and teaching instincts, David has no problem breaking down computer speak into a language that non-tech savvy people can understand.
