John Greenfield
John joined Geeks2U in 2007 and was appointed senior IT consultant in 2008. After completing a university degree in Physics in 1995, John commenced his IT career as a Technical Support Officer with Ozemail. Over the next 12 years, John attained a number of industry certifications, including MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) and CCA (Citrix Certified Administrator). During this period, John held senior IT management positions in several industries, including finance, media and hospitality, before joining Geeks2U in 2007.

John is a Microsoft Small Business Specialist and is an expert in the following areas...

Steve Vass
A well-rounded computer technician, Steve Vass has several years' experience in IT solutions.  Coming to us from a position where he provided onsite support, troubleshooting and repair of computer hardware and software issues and speaking with customers about their computer issues, he is a great addition to the Geeks2U team.

After earning a Certificate IV in Information Technology, he increased in knowledge in system support, system technologies and computer repair, specializing in COMPAQ systems.  He went on to join a support team, providing desktop support, installation of Windows components and computer parts, and installation and configuration of Internet connections.

From providing customer support, Steve advanced to troubleshooting hardware and software issues as a computer repair technician, where he gained a wide range of experience in customer relations, onsite computer repair, technical support and configuration issues and virus or spyware removal.

Shortly before joining us, he further enriched his knowledge base as owner of a computer shop that sold new computers, made needed repairs and upgrades, removed viruses and spyware and set up wireless networks.  As owner, Steve spoke to customers on a daily basis, translating technical computer jargon into plain, understandable English.  He also trained new users and fixed computer problems, as well as offered telephone support.

Steve's background of helping customers, combined with his extensive IT knowledge, has made him adept at providing support and technical know-how in an uncomplicated, non-technical and friendly manner.

Anthony Hill
Anthony joined Geeks2U very soon after we commenced our computer repairs  business back in 2005.  He is very highly regarded by everyone on our team but, more importantly, by the thousands of our customers he's absolutely delighted with his skill and courtesy.  

Anthony is also renowned for his ability to explain technical issues (provide computer technical support/help) in plain, easy-to-understand terms, without the technical mumbo-jumbo.  His IT knowledge extends all the way back to the days of DOS in the mid 1990s.

With such an extensive IT background, Anthony is well equipped to tackle any IT problem.

Kris Shotam
Schooled in Singapore, Kris Shotham graduated college with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computing.  His degree gives him a strong basis in the development and implementation of IT systems, as well as strong programming skills. Following the completion of his degree, Kris earned a CCNA certification, also known as the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification.  To earn this certification, he had to learn how to install, manage, troubleshoot and maintain small enterprise network systems; this also includes network security.

He then received his certification as a Novell Netware Engineer, training as a systems administrator.  As a CNE (Certified Novell Engineer), Kris has the capability and knowledge to perform server installations, provide support for email and instant messaging services and manage the eDirectory, to name a few.

To top off his extensive education, Kris gained a MS SQL Certification, one of the most currently in-demand programming languages.  He is also a member of the distinguished IEEE - the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.

All of his education prepared him to be an IT consultant, dealing with everything from installing networks to troubleshooting and fixing clients' networks.  As an IT consultant, Kris dealt with clients regularly, including giving explanations of how to repair their networks through online tech support.

Highly-trained, capable and client-oriented, Kris is a one-stop computer shop for installation, troubleshooting and repair of computer network systems.

His IT skills include, but are not limited to:
