Robert
Robert, a competent, customer-oriented technician, recently joined Geek2U's Toowoomba division.
He has taken several courses to improve his IT skills, such as Algorithms and Data Structures. This course gave him detailed knowledge of advanced data structures like RAM, general design techniques and the ability to implement, evaluate and compare complex data structures. Another course was Foundation Programming with C, where he gained a solid foundation, and operative skills, in program design and concepts.
Two other courses he completed were Computer Engineering and Engineering Problem Solving 2. These are specialist design areas that relate specifically to computers and communication systems, including software engineering, artificial intelligence, microprocessors and computer networks, to name a few. To round out his education, Robert studied Mathematics, Data Analysis, Telecommunications Principles and a wide range of electrical engineering fields, and is still increasing his educational background.
Professionally, Robert is an up-and-coming IT Professional. Though relatively new to the workforce, he has already gained extensive experience. Some of his career highlights include installing a new subsection of ophthalmological imaging equipment, maintaining an engineering WIKI based on interpersonal communication and installing a portable system for referencing from MIMS for a pharmacy.
Before joining Geeks2U, Robert held a position as a Communications Technology Educator. Some of his responsibilities included formulating tutorials, one-on-one tutoring, educating students in the use of modern communications technology and explaining various TCP/IP and POP3 protocols. In addition, he performed troubleshooting, setup ADSL connections, installed communication systems for home and office networks on Windows Server 2000, and repaired and rebuilt personal computers.
Highly competent in the IT field, an experienced trainer and excellent with people, Robert is a great addition to the Toowoomba team.
