Rob Novotny
Rob Novotny recently joined Geeks2U as part of our Tweed Heads division. He adds over eleven years of education, and over nine years' IT experience to our team.
His education began with a Diploma of Computer Systems. Rob is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer for Windows 2000 and a Cisco Certified Network Associate. To round out his education, he took a course for training small groups, teaching him how to pass on what he's learned in an efficient, easy-to-understand way.
Rob began his professional experience as Level 1/Level 2 Support for the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce. This was followed by a Level 2 Support position, and then Support Manager, where he provided Levels 1, 2 and 3 support to the company's clients. Level 3 support is the highest tech support level, requiring the most knowledge to perform the necessary tasks.
Rob's last position was as the owner/ operator of a computer business. During this time, he performed all the duties and tasks required by the customer. This included providing computer repairs, upgrades and part replacements. He offered network design, maintenance and installation, fault-finding and troubleshooting PC based computer and server systems and servicing new or existing equipment. In addition, Rob applied his Training Small Groups education to instruct the customers in the use of their new systems and software and provided all levels of support, from helpdesk to high-end onsite tech support.
With his extensive experience in onsite customer support and training, Rob is an excellent IT Consultant, able to instruct in a clear, concise and friendly manner.
His IT skills include, but are not limited to:
