3 excellent ereaders you mentioned. Although the Sony is the lesser off the three and Kindle is dedicated to Amazon Books only, which does not give you the opportunity to buy books anywhere else or put your own content on it, Bookeen is the best choice from the three.

I would love to see an opinion on another good brand though, the BeBook. Especcially with there new models the Neo and the BeBook one 2010 version which is the quickest ereader around, they are a good choice.

Hope to get your opinion soon.

I'm a writer, and this e-book reader debate has been going on in writing circles for the last couple of years.

You have to take a couple of things into account. What is this bookreader like at night when you sit propped up in bed? Apparently that's what most people ask.

Also, if your eyesight is not 20/20, how does your particular e-reader help, or does it hinder?

I've watched all the marketing and seen most of the toys, and certainly believe that eventually the market will be shared 50/50 e-books and paper books. (No, in spite of all the warped figures out it hasn't happened yet). But until I find an e-book reader that gives me ALL the pleasure of holding a new book in my hands, then I'll stick with hard copies.

I was interested to read about the e-books...you include the practical aspects that many reviews don't, such as ePaper, reading in sunlight and battery life. I was wondering about the new Apple iPad. One of its many features is, I believe, an e-book capacity. I hope you will be reviewing it soon, focusing on the practical aspects and user friendliness.
Thanks!
