Part of Geek2U's Gold Coast team, Steve Manchester is one of our most experienced IT consultants, having spent the past twenty years gaining an impressive list of accomplishments.
His educational background ranges from telecommunications technician to Certified CISCO Trainer and Sniffer Expert. During the training for his SCE Certificate, he learned TCP/IP Network analysis and troubleshooting, advanced troubleshooting with InfiniStream Network Management and troubleshooting with Sniffer Portable, to name a few.
He began building his professional portfolio as a technical officer, and spent his first eight years installing telecommunications data equipment and troubleshooting WAN, ISDN and Data networks, as well as SNA wide area networks. He then went on to become a training manager for Apple Computer, where he designed, implemented and delivered a national training program. This was followed by CISCO Systems, developing call centre training curriculum and procedures, delivering technology training and designing specialised courses.
One of his accomplishments was the delivery of CISCO CCIE certified training and consultation to over three thousand personnel throughout four countries, an undertaking that he has repeated in small and large scale several times. Another large accomplishment was the planned and project managed network installation for Sydney's convention center, supporting over two thousand computers.
From consultation to troubleshooting on computer network issues both large and small, Steve is a consummate IT professional, flexible and quick-thinking. With several years' experience in training roles and IT consultation, he is an excellent addition to Geeks2U.

Marius Lotter
Our Gold Coast division is an apt place for Marius Lotter, who has a bright and shining career in the IT profession. Following a year-long stint in the military where he operated computer and electronic devices, he broadened his education and built up an extensive list of qualifications.
After earning a degree in Electronic Engineering, he became a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) with the ability to provide extensive NT Server, Workstation and Networking Essentials support. Shortly after, he added certifications in Document Management and Imaging, and Netseq Firewall. Within a period of seven years Marius took five other courses, including CCNA, which provided him with the knowledge to be a systems network administrator dealing with the installation, management and repair of small enterprise networks.
Marius has fourteen years of professional experience, going back to the days of Dos 6.11, Windows 3.11, Windows 95 and UNIX. He went from technical specialist and consultant to network administrator, providing IT support for over one hundred staff members. He installed, configured and provided support for Cisco routers, switches and hubs, as well as programs used for high level document scanning and retrieval.
His last position before coming to Geeks2U was as a technical manager in a business that provides network installation and support to small and medium businesses. Installation and maintenance of LAN's, VPN's, VOIP and wireless networks, plus antivirus vendors such as Sophos, MacAfee, Norton and Avast were just part of a long list of his management duties.

Simon Bossie
Simon Bossie brings a strong customer service focus and technical base to the Gold Coast division of Geeks2U, and is a qualified Windows XP Professional with ten years of IT experience.
His first year as an IT professional was spent in voluntary employment as an IT Director, designing and updating a website dedicated to surfing. Immediately after, he became a territory manager, where he dealt with customers on a daily basis. These positions gave him experience that he was able to put to use as a Senior Support Technician, providing telephone technical support for home, cable, satellite and business customers.
Simon quickly picked up speed, becoming onsite technical support for a large media contingent attached to the Sydney 2000 Olympics, where his service dealt with troubleshooting and computer repair issues. His professional portfolio widened to include IT Helpdesk and Web Development, providing telephone technical support for internet and email troubleshooting, as well as maintaining and editing a company website with the use of Active Server Pages (ASP), static HTML Page and a Microsoft SQL Server database.
Since then, Simon has gone on to learn, and put into practical application, Microsoft Office suite, Lotus Notes, Novell Servers and the ability to provide onsite support, training and troubleshooting of all computer platforms, including Windows and Macintosh.
With extensive customer relations experience and a wide range of technical skill, Simon makes a well-rounded, easy-to-understand IT consultant.
