In a one-hour session, a Geeks2U technician will first take time to understand your household, including your children’s ages, devices, platforms, and specific concerns. We’ll explain what parental controls can and can’t do, covering built-in tools (like Apple Screen Time, Google Family Link, and Windows Family Safety), network-level options, and third-party software – with a strong focus on education, communication, and realistic expectations.
Together, we’ll define sensible rules around screen time, content, apps, purchases, and downtime, before completing a hands-on setup of 1x core device / platform (such as Apple, Android, Windows, or your home router). Most importantly, we’ll show you how to manage the controls yourself, so you stay in control as your children grow and technology changes.
The session delivers real value even without additional time booked, and clearly outlines what has – and hasn’t – been implemented. If you’d like further setup (additional devices, platforms, or a full household rollout), this can be completed in optional 30-minute increments, with no surprises or pressure.
