David Jeffries David Jeffries, a new addition to Geeks2U's Perth division, has been keenly interested in computers for twenty-six years, beginning with Technology being part of his high school studies. He went on to college, receiving a National diploma in Business and Computer Studies. Recently, David added basic web design and desktop publishing to his educational portfolio.
Professionally his experience began twenty-one years ago as an Office Administrator and IT Consultant for an Architects practice. His responsibilities included overseeing the installation of all hardware and software packages for the company's computers, as well as installation and updating CAD software. In addition, he wrote and maintained an accounts program with QuickBasic.
Later, David became a Computer Programmer, writing programs to suit customers' needs, setting up networks and running the help desk, followed by a position as an Installation Engineer. Here, he built computers and installed various pieces of software, tested all hardware before issuing it to customers and assisted with help desk calls. In addition, he assisted with installing peripheral devices and setting up networks.
David has been a Computer Technical Engineer, where his main role involved Microsoft OS problem solving. He has also held the position of Network Engineer/IT Consultant, working closely with clients and developing their existing IT infrastructure, advising and implementing new security measures/upgrades for both hardware and software, and problem solving by remote access or onsite support.
With a strong background in helpdesk and onsite support, David has learned how to get information across to the everyday computer user without bogging them down with technical jargon. He is an excellent addition to the Geeks2U Perth team.

Bruce Willis Bruce Willis is an intelligent, self-taught IT professional. He has even educated himself to be able to install and service Point of Sale systems in business, including large hotels and supermarkets.
Professionally, Bruce spent fifteen years as a police officer, owned and operated two businesses for a period of twenty years and held a position as Store Manager/Technician.
As a business owner and operator, Bruce provided daily customer service, and operated and maintained Point of Sale systems and back office. Time-management has always been a priority, and Bruce passed that along to his employees, ensuring that the customer was taken care of in a timely, friendly manner. He built computer systems to customer specifications, and advised customers on business software, software stock control procedures and best practices.
As Store Manager and Technician, Bruce managed the company store and sales. He also spent time repairing computers and peripherals, such as printers, external drives, etc. Using his experience as store owner, Bruce spoke with customers, giving them feedback and answering questions on software and hardware.
With several years' experience in customer service, Bruce's demeanor is easy-going and helpful. He has developed the ability to listen to a customer, assess their needs and deliver a viable solution without an outpouring of technical jargon.

Zac Charlesworth Zac Charlesworth, new to Geeks2U's Perth division, has over ten years' experience with people in a customer service, sales and technical support role. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional and currently working to obtain a Bachelor Degree, as well as training to be a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. In addition, Zac has a Certificate IV of Information Technology (Network Systems Stream) and a Traineeship in Computers for Customer Service and Support.
Zac's first professional position began twelve years ago as a Computer Network Administrator for a college. He designed and implemented the School Administration network comprising of many Intel based computers running on a Windows NT4 based domain. He designed and upgraded an Apple Computer based student network using Appleshare IP 5, then to version 6. In addition, he provided training for both the staff and students in various aspects of computing, including software and hardware.
Zac held the same position for another college later on, building on his IT experience. He designed and maintained the initial student network consisting of thirty Windows 98 and NT4.0 based machines, and advised, created reports and made recommendations on budget allocations and expenditures. During this period, he was responsible for designing and implementing a pioneer Windows 2000 student and administration school-wide network based on the Terminal Server model; not only was the network a success, it also became a major cost-saver for the school.
In total, Zac has over eight years of onsite support experience, dealing with both residential and business-based users. He is dedicated and hard-working, and has top-notch communication skills.
